Theatre and Performance Documentation

My work with theatre and dance photography grows directly from my own experience as a dancer. Because I understand the internal rhythm of movement and stage presence, I photograph performances from within their physical logic.

Rather than only documenting what happens on stage, I look for moments where gesture, tension and atmosphere come together.

I am attentive to:

  • transitions between movements

  • the spatial relationship between performers

  • the emotional tone of the scene

  • small details that might otherwise disappear in the flow of performance

The aim is to create images that both document the work and carry something of its living presence.

This service can include

  • performance photography during shows

  • rehearsal documentation

  • production stills for promotion

  • visual material for archives, press and publications

I work closely with directors, choreographers and performers to understand the piece and its visual language.
